This Week's Highlights

  • Please refer to an important communication from our Board Chair related to a change in expansion plans.
  • A big thank you to school council for the lovely teacher appreciation gifts for school staff.
  • Here are the spring camp parent information webinar dates:
    -Grade 4 - May 29 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
    -Grade 5 - May 23 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
    -Grade 8 - May 23 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
    -Grade 9 - May 15 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Our grade 6 students had a great adventure on their Cultural Exchange overnight camp at Mother Earth Charter School. Included in the trip was: Land based experiences at the Indigenous charter school, a trip to the Legislature and visiting the Telus World of Science in Edmonton.
  • Thank you to the volunteers and teachers who put forward great efforts to make the grade 6 trip memorable for all students. We appreciate our volunteers as our program is dependant on their wonderful support.
  • Connect's mixed soccer team tournament is on Wednesday, May 18th. Go, Lasers go!
  • Library books are due for the end of year inventory by June 9th.
  • Looking for 3 picture day volunteers - May 15th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • A quick reminder that tomorrow is the last day for anyone to place an order in our school store. https://store.kodiaksports.ca/home
  • The lost and found items that entered the lost and found before April 28th will be donated May 19th.

School Council Update

END OF YEAR BBQ: After a pandemic-induced hiatus, we are thrilled to bring back the End of Year BBQ. All families are invited to join the celebration! Expect yummy food, live music from our students and a chance to interact with returning Connect Alumni. Save the Date for Wednesday June 14 and stay tuned for details!

REMINDER: Meat Fundraiser order pickup is Wednesday May 10. Please bring your order form and line up behind the school in the alley. The drive-through pick up opens at 3:15pm.
If you can volunteer for an hour or two to help sort and distribute the packages, we still need some helping hands.
