These mixed-age experiences create meaningful opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and a greater sense of belonging at Connect.
As temperatures begin to drop, please ensure students come to school prepared for outdoor conditions. Take a moment to check that winter jackets, snow pants, boots, hats, and mittens still fit and are appropriate for colder weather.
If your family needs support purchasing winter clothing or outdoor gear, please contact Laurie Kangas ([email protected]). We are happy to help ensure all students can participate comfortably in outdoor activities.
The following information will be shared with families by the end of the month:
Polar Bear Club Permission Forms — Families will receive information and permission forms for students wishing to go outside when temperatures are between −20°C and −25°C (students must be dressed appropriately for the weather).
Grade 6 Provincial Achievement Test Results — Results from last year’s provincial achievement tests will be emailed directly to Grade 7 families.
Human Sexuality Permission Forms — Information and permission forms will be distributed to families.
A huge thank you to all the students and families who brought in bottles during Parent/Teacher Conferences!
Congratulations to Ms. Rattai’s Class 4.1, which collected the most bottles and won the class pizza party! Mr. Adams’ Class 4.2 came in a very close second.
Our next bottle drive will take place January 7–8, 2027.
Peaks 4 Progress will be delivering hot dogs on Wednesday, October 28.
There is still time to order online! Orders will remain open until Sunday evening, October 25.

A variety of items, in refreshed colours, are available. We have t-shirts, hoodies, and zip-up hoodies, all featuring our school name or logo. Orders can be placed online through the school store, and all items will be delivered to the school for distribution once the ordering window closes.

A big thank you to everyone who supported our Playground 50/50 Raffle! Together, we raised $3,700 for our new playground! Congratulations to our lucky winner, Connect parent Traci Morden!
We are getting closer to making our new playground a reality, but we still have $160,000 to raise! Our goal is to have the playground installed in fall 2027, and we need your help to get there.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to help us reach our goal. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer!
Simply scan the QR code below to donate online. Tax receipts will be issued for donations.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support!
