SCHOOL COUNCIL & PARENT SOCIETY UPDATE

FIRST MEETING – RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 2nd (TIME TBD)

Please note – We are moving our first meeting from September 20 to October 2. We made the change to accommodate those away at fall camps. Also, the new date coincides with the Terry Fox Run, which gives parents the chance to come cheer on their kids after the meeting. Timing will be advised soon!

CASINO VOLUNTEER SIGNUP IS OPEN! JOIN US OCT 22nd & 23rd

Connect’s biggest fundraising event of the year is coming up and we have 36 volunteer shifts to fill.
Shifts run Sunday Oct 22 and Monday Oct 23 from 11am-7:30pm or 7:15pm-3:30/4am or 11pm-4am. Each of these shifts require 6 people to fill positions, so please consider bringing a friend or two, and passing the time together. Or try to recruit a group from your class, pod or grade and get to know some other parents! Note, you may volunteer for more than one shift but must keep the same position. Positions available: General Manager, Banker, Cashier, Chiprunner, Countroom Supervisor and Courtroom Staff.

Please email the Parent Society at [email protected] if you’d like to sign up. If you have a preference of positions, let us know. If you’ve been a past volunteer at camps, field trips, school activities or on a parent committee, please include that info in the email.

SAVE-THE-DATE REMINDER FOR MOVIE NIGHT OCT 19th

If you read this far, you’re probably thinking, “Wow, October is going to be busy!”. Nonetheless, you definitely don’t want to miss our Movie Night and accompanying Parent Program on Thursday, Oct 19th. Students will be voting on the movie in the coming weeks, and we’re also developing ideas for the Parent Program – so stay tuned for more information! Just like last year, we’ll offer families the chance to pre-order dinner and movie treats, making this an easy weeknight event for everyone.
