This Week's Highlights

We were excited to tour the Apple Canada Education's Department at our school this Friday. Enhancing learning through technology continues to be a charter goal.
Grade 6 overnight camp takes place next week. A reminder to families to drive their child to school with their luggage by 7:45 a.m. and pick up students at 4:30 p.m. 6.1 and 6.2 leave on Monday, May 6 and return on Wednesday, May 8th. 6.3 and 6.4 leave on Wednesday, May 8th and return Friday, May 10th.
Our physical educaiton teachers will be taking students through the lost and found. Items will be donated on May 16th.
Reminder that our school store is now open until May 12. This will be your last chance this year to get your Connect Gear. Delivery of all purchased items will be given to your student to bring home approximately June 4. If this is a gift please contact Mrs Newton at [email protected] to arrange alternate delivery options. On Thursday, May 9th, 8.3 students will be going for their field day with the Outdoor Education class.
Grade 4 parents, mark your calendars for the online information session on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:00 p.m. A link will be shared on the day and we look forward to seeing you online.
Go Trailblazers: On May 9th, after school, our girls soccer team will compete against the Calgary Girls' Charter School at 3:45 p.m.

SCHOOL COUNCIL & PARENT SOCIETY UPDATE

RAFFLE draw takes place on MONDAY – just 3 days to buy a chance to win WESTJET FLIGHT PASSES and 2nd prize $500!

We have sold relatively less raffle tickets than previous years, so your chances are even better to WIN! Open to all, please pass along.

PLANT SALE has closed and your plants will be ready for pick up on May 14. We’ll need some volunteers (Signup Genius to come). We had to order a little bit extra to meet our minimum, so please consider reserving these if you’d like more plants or we will have them for sale at pick up (cash or your good word!).

– 10 pack each red and pink geraniums

– 2 outdoor planters

– 3 outdoor hanging planters

– 2 indoor foliage trios

THANK YOU to everyone who helped with our cruddy-weather Meat Sale pick up on Tuesday! This was another successful fundraiser – now please go enjoy better BBQ weather!

FAMILY DAY AT CAMP CONNECT – Celebrate Connect turning 25!

Saturday, May 25: 11am-3pm. Have fun at camp and enjoy lunch with the school community. This is an awesome opportunity to familiarize yourself with an important part of the Connect experience. Bus transportation will be provided from the school, or you can drive yourself. FREE for everyone, RSVP will be required.

LASTLY…. END OF YEAR BBQ on Thursday June 20. Mark your calendar for this celebrator event… and hello summer!
