This Week's Highlights

There is no school on Friday, May 17th; it is a PD Day. On Monday, May 20th there is no school as it is Victoria Day.
We welcome our grade 6 students back from their Cultural Exchange Spring Camp at Mother Earth's Children's Charter School. We thank all of the parent volunteers and staff who contributed to the trip's success.
This week was teacher appreciation week. School Council and school leadership found ways to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work of all of our staff at Connect Charter School.
The grade 9 English Language Arts (Part A) assessment takes place on Monday, May 13th.
The grade 8 Writing on Stone Parent Information Session will take place on Monday, May 13th at 6:00 p.m. A link will be shared with grade 8 families on Monday.
Go Trailblazers! There is a boys soccer tournament on Tuesday, May 14th.
Go Trailblazers! There is a girls team soccer tournament on Thursday, May 16.

Parent Society and School Council Update

PLANT SALE has closed and your plants will be ready for pick up on May 14. We’ll need some volunteers (Signup Genius to come). We had to order a little bit extra to meet our minimum, so please consider reserving these if you’d like more plants or we will have them for sale at pick up (cash or your good word!).

– 10 pack each red and pink geraniums

– 2 outdoor planters

– 3 outdoor hanging planters

– 2 indoor foliage trios

THANK YOU to everyone who helped with our cruddy-weather Meat Sale pick up on Tuesday! This was another successful fundraiser – now please go enjoy better BBQ weather!

FAMILY DAY AT CAMP CONNECT – Celebrate Connect turning 25!

Saturday, May 25: 11am-3pm. Have fun at camp and enjoy lunch with the school community. This is an awesome opportunity to familiarize yourself with an important part of the Connect experience. Bus transportation will be provided from the school, or you can drive yourself. FREE for everyone, RSVP will be required.

LASTLY…. END OF YEAR BBQ on Thursday June 20. Mark your calendar for this celebrator event… and hello summer!
