This Week's Highlights

  • Thank you to school council and parent society volunteers who provided lunch for the staff on Friday. The food truck was a great way to appreciate the efforts of our staff.
  • Our grade 9 students return back from a week at Blue Lake Camp on June 2nd. Thank you to our staff and volunteers.
  • Grade 8 students depart for the Writing on Stone camp next week. 8.3-8.4 leave on Monday June 5th and return on June 7th. 8.1 and 8.2 leave on Wednesday June 7th and return on June 9th.
  • Grade 5's head out for Circle Square Ranch Camp on June 7th and return June 9th.
  • Did you know that Connect Charter reduced our waste by 75% as a result of the commitment of our Green Team who supported a compost initiative. These students will be attending the Mayor's Expo on June 6th.
  • There are numerous events and field trips planned for the month of June. Please review the dates below
  • There is an important message from school council and parent society below. Note the school barbecue and concert planned for the evening of June 14th.

Connect’s End of Year BBQ is BACK and we’re celebrating with a student concert! 

ALSO – please help spread the word….! We love to welcome back Connect Charter alumni so if you are in touch with anyone, let them know they are welcome to drop by!

SCHOOL COUNCIL UPDATE

 
THANK YOU TEACHERS & STAFF! School Council, with support from ongoing fundraising initiatives, treated Connect teachers and staff today with an Appreciation Lunch. The Venezuelan “Arepas Ranch” food truck served up a tasty meal to everyone during today’s PD day. Not leaving anyone out, Grade 9 teachers and staff at camp were welcomed off the bus with a Door Dash gift card. THANKS again to everyone at Connect for delivering on another great year!
 
LAST SCHOOL COUNCIL & PARENT SOCIETY MEETING is on Tuesday, June 20. We’ll be discussing early fall plans and recruiting people to help run the Welcome Back BBQ on August 31. 

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION TEA will be hosted by the school and students on Monday, June 26 from 2-3pm. Everyone who has volunteered at the school, on field trips or served on committees will be invited to attend.
