This Week's Highlights

A reminder that there is no school for students on June 16.
We welcome back our grade 8 students from the Writing on Stone trips this week. We also welcome back our grade 5 students from the Circle Square Ranch trip. Thank you to the staff and volunteers who make these trips a memorable experience for our students.

The Connect Change Makers elective is happy to report that we made $884.50 from our bake sale! This money will be donated to the Calgary Humane Society and will go a long way to helping the animals in their care. Thank you for your support!
Save the Date - The Volunteer Tea will be happening on Monday, June 26 from 2:00 - 3:00. If you have volunteered in any way this school year you are invited to attend this event. Invitations will be emailed soon.
We look forward to seeing families on June 14 for the end of year barbecue and summer concert 4:00 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. The concert begins 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Student will have received or will receive shortly an order for for the school wide photo that was taken on May 15th. The deadline to hand in orders is Wednesday June 14th.

Construction Update for the Crowchild over Glenmore Bridge Rehabilitation Project

Upcoming Full Bridge Closure – June 24th to June 26th

Our next full bridge closure is anticipated to start Saturday, June 24th at 5:00 a.m. and the bridge will re-open at or before 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26th. We are asking the public to continue to follow all posted signage in the construction area including speed reductions and to expect some delays.

School Council and Parent Society Update

END OF YEAR BBQ & SCHOOL CONCERT is next Wednesday, June 14. We’ve had a GREAT response and it’s going to be busy! Hint… if it looks like parent volunteers could use some help, please roll up your sleeves and pitch in!

LAST SCHOOL COUNCIL & PARENT SOCIETY MEETING is on Tuesday, June 20. We’ll be discussing early fall plans and recruiting people to help run the Welcome Back BBQ on August 31.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION TEA will be hosted by the school and students on Monday, June 26 from 2-3pm. Everyone who has volunteered at the school, on field trips or served on committees, will be invited to attend.
