We’ve seen a few instances of projects and assignments being created with ChatGPT. If and when you’re wondering if something was made on ChatGPT, there are a few ways to check (though not with 100% certainty) –
check out GTPZero (gptzero.me), or ChatGPT’s own tool (https://platform.openai.com/ai-text-classifier).
We are recommending families check that (if your child has an iPhone or Personal iPad) you set the AirDrop settings to “Off” or to “Contacts Only”. Otherwise, they are able to receive unsolicited messages and files from others nearby. This has been an issue for some students on the bus with personal devices. We give this guidance for student devices at Connect via Creative Tech, but are hoping for parental support in enforcing this at home and away from school with personal devices.
Have a wonderful week, Connect!
