Last Day of School Before Winter Break: Thursday, December 19th. We look forward to seeing students back on Tuesday, January 7th!
Thank You: A heartfelt thank you to all families who attended student-led conferences this past week.
Peace Festival: Next week, we celebrate our Peace Festival, focusing on community building, leadership opportunities, moments of gratitude, and learning about Calgary's non-profit charities.

Reminder: Helmets are required for skating. We would like to recognize the Lakeview Community Association for their partnership in use of the outdoor rink.
The grade 7's have organized a school wide food drive for this year's Peace Festival. Please bring in your food items before December 19th at the front office. The Calgary Food Bank's most needed items are: Canned Pasta sauce, Canned Tomatoes, Pasta, Rice, Diapers, Formula

Movie Night & Parent Program

We are excited to continue our THRIVE Parent Learning Series, designed to bring our community together for engaging evening discussions in collaboration with Dr. Caroline Buzanko and inspired by the book The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. Whether you read the book cover to cover or simply join us for the conversations, your level of participation is completely up to you!

This second event will begin with an opportunity to engage in discussions about The Anxious Generation. Following this, Dr. Buzanko will share insights on the impact of excessive screen time on development and mental health, as well as practical guidelines and strategies to minimize and mitigate screen use.

Details about the movie night and parent program, including the sign-up process, will be shared at the beginning of January. Please stay tuned for updates in the Principal’s Weekly Updates and communications from School Council.
