A Lockdown Drill will take place this week with the support of Calgary Police Services to help ensure safety preparedness.
Wednesday, April 30 Grade 6 Field Trip to the University of Calgary for a learning series.
Our students engaged in the student vote on Friday, April 25th - thank you to the grade 6 team for organizing this event which aligns deeply with the curriculum in several grades.

Second Gaga Ball Pit! We thank our team of parent volunteers for their help in setting up our second gaga ball pit. There are so many ways to support our school community. Please reach out to our school council team if you might have some time and energy to contribute to our program. We would like to thank school council for the purchase of this second gaga ball pit - it will highly increase the 'playability' of our school yard.
Update from Superintendent Chris Gilmour: 2 Modular Classrooms for Camp: I was recently informed by the Ministry that our request for 2 modular classrooms for Camp Connect was approved. In the coming weeks I will be working to establish a timeline to receive the units. Our hope is to have them on site before December 2025. These units will provide much-needed heated indoor space for our students reducing the multi-use approach we've taken to using the dining hall. As Camp Connect grows, we would like to develop a clear plan for the site. We are seeking a volunteer who has a background in site design to help us with our plan. We would like to acknowledge our front office staff and those employees who are in support roles in honour of Administrative Professionals' Day. We are so fortunate for their dedication and care.

School Council has got you covered! Teacher Appreciation Day is coming up, and we’re taking care of gifts and an (early) end-of-year lunch. If you have some time to join us in writing thank-you cards on May 6, we will gather in the Learning Commons after the Parent Coffee (8:30am-9:30am), which is hosted by School Administration. VOLUNTEER WITH US IN 2025! EXECUTIVE ROLES ARE OPEN
Thanks to those who joined our School Council and Parent Society on Tuesday. We are still IN NEED of volunteers to join the School Council executive as Chair and Vice-Chair. Due to term limits, we have roles to fill, but have past volunteers who can transition through the year to anyone new (no experience required!). Committees are also open if you’d like to pick something of particular interest or time. If you have ideas and desire to help build school community, there’s a place for you.
