Connect Charter is proud to present a return to Parent Enrichment Programming!

Regardless of whether your student is attending the movie, parents are invited to a special program and conversation with Julie Freeman Smith. We’ll talk about parenting in a post-pandemic world and pick up new ideas and tools to help with current challenges we may be facing. Julie was a Connect Charter parent,  providing her with context of our community. We’re thrilled to welcome her back in the school.

Author, Blogger, Podcast Host, and Parenting Expert, Julie Freedman Smith has been supporting parents for over 20 years. Her clients include individual families, schools and organizations supporting caring parents who want to best-help their kids. Julie believes that parenting is hard – it’s easier together, and combines research-based information, humorous anecdotes and parenting hacks resulting in audiences and clients ready to face their parenting challenges head on!

Julie’s tips and strategies have been found in the National Post, the Globe and Mail, Today’s Parent Magazine, Canadian Families Magazine, GlobalNews.ca, and CBC.ca. She frequently appears on local and provincial media and has been a guest expert on CBC Radio’s The Current. Julie has also interviewed many parenting experts from around the world and is eager to share what she has learned from those conversations.

Julie is the creator and founder of Parent – Break, an online community providing time and space for parents to get in touch with themselves and each other, to offer guidance, and to acknowledge the challenges of parenting while celebrating the successes. She’d love for you to join her www.parent-break.com/jo
