Important Updates - Subscribe to our Calendar - Instructions below!

  • Welcome back from camp to our grade 6 and 8 students. Thank you to the volunteers and staff who made this a memorable experience.
  • Another reminder that the drop off and pick up area at the start and end of the school day is on 34th street. Our administrators will be redirecting traffic next week to support student safety at the front of the school.
  • Note: field trips, camps or outdoor activities may be cancelled due to air quality concerns. We ask that parents check their emails prior to camps of field trips to stay informed.
  • Fall Camp Information: Please take note of the following important logistics: Students may not bring luggage on the school bus.
    Drop-off on camp departure day: 8:00 – 8:30 a.m.
    Pick-Up on camp return day: 2:30 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Alternative arrangements for pick up and drop off at camp: In rare circumstances, an alternative schedule may be needed while at camp. The designated times for drop-off or pick-up from camp are: 8:00 – 9:00 a.m., 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Arrangements must be made in advance with your child's teachers. During camp, teachers are not checking email regularly. For any urgent communication, please contact the school office directly.
  • Fall Camp Schedule:
    September 17–19 – Grade 5 Fall Camp
    September 22–24 – Grade 9 Fall Camp
    September 24–25 – Grade 4 Fall Camp
  • Monday, September 15 – Lifetouch School Picture Day (Grades 4–9)
  • September 15th - Grade 4 day trip to Camp Connect.
  • Tuesday, September 16 – Terry Fox Run - Wear your blue Connect Charter T-Shirt
  • Tuesday, September 16 – School Council & Parent Society Meeting (Online), 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Link to be shared with families that day.
  • Monday, September 29 – No School – IPP Meetings
  • Tuesday, September 30 – No School – Truth and Reconciliation Day

  • Connect Charter School is intentionally planning for Truth and Reconciliation Day. Students are invited to wear orange on Wednesday, October 1st.
  • Stay tuned for how to sign up for IPP meetings, scheduled for September 29th.
  • It is Scholastic Book Fair time again! Classes will visit the Scholastic Book Fair during school on October 7, 8, and 9. The fair will also be open during conferences for families to shop on October 9 (From 4:00 to 7:30) and October 10 (From 9:00-12:00). If you'd like to volunteer for this fundraising opportunity, please reach out to [email protected].
  • Teachers look forward to meetings with parents at our October conferences, scheduled for Oct 9 and 10. There will be online and in-person opportunities available. More information will be shared about when and how to sign up.

Our Meat and Pies fundraiser is on!  Time to fill your freezer, get ready for Thanksgiving or get the BBQ going and add on some sweet pies for dessert.  Whatever your fancy we’ve likely got something for you! School Council Meeting – Tuesday September 16 @ 6:30pm.  Link to the meeting will be sent out in the afternoon on Sept 16. 
Everyone is welcome to join for all or part of our school council meeting.  We welcome whatever time you have to participate. You can use the following documents to find out more about what happened at the last AGM and meeting.
