Electives began this week. Students have the opportunity to broaden their experience through our elective program.
Welcome back from camp to our grade 5 students. Thank you to the volunteers and staff who made this a memorable experience.
Thank you to our families who are using 34th street as the student drop off and pick up area. We noticed less congestion for our buses and increased safety for our students on Lewis Drive.
Fall Camp Schedule: September 22–24 – Grade 9 Fall Camp September 24–25 – Grade 4 Fall Camp
Fall Camp Information:Please take note of the following important logistics: Students may not bring luggage on the school bus. Drop-off on camp departure day: 8:00 – 8:30 a.m. Pick-Up on camp return day: 2:30 – 3:00 p.m.
Alternative arrangements for pick up and drop off at camp: In rare circumstances, an alternative schedule may be needed while at camp. The designated times for drop-off or pick-up from camp are: 8:00 – 9:00 a.m., 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Arrangements must be made in advance with your child's teachers. During camp, teachers are not checking email regularly. For any urgent communication, please contact the school office directly.
A communication was shared with families about how to sign up for IPP meetings on September 29th. Note: these meetings are specific to students who are on an Individualized Program Plan (IPP).
Monday, September 29 – No School – IPP Meetings
Tuesday, September 30 – No School – Truth and Reconciliation Day
Our school will recognize Truth and Reconciliation Day on October 1st. Students can wear orange shirts that day.
We invite parents to the morning coffee on October 3rd at 8:30 a.m in the learning commons.

Teachers look forward to meetings with parents at our October conferences, scheduled for Oct 9 and 10. There will be online and in-person opportunities available. More information will be shared about when and how to sign up.
It is Scholastic Book Fair time again! Classes will visit the Scholastic Book Fair during school on October 7, 8, and 9. The fair will also be open during conferences for families to shop on October 9 (From 4:00 to 7:30) and October 10 (From 9:00-12:00). Teachers and staff will be recognized on Teacher Appreciation week (October 6-9).
