Thank you to the families who came to our morning coffees and Meet the Team Barbecue event. Our appreciation goes out to our school council and volunteers who help organize these events, along with those who got the word out about our playground project.
A big thank you to those volunteers who came to the Camp Connect Work Bee and helped set up our site for student camps.
We are looking for 2-3 volunteers for picture day on September 15th! If you'd like to volunteer, please reach out to [email protected]
It is a popular time of year, with many upcoming camps and activities, you can now view the expiry date of your Police Information Check (PIC). Log into your PowerSchool Parent account, then proceed to the Demographics page to view the Police Check Expiry date.
There was a great 'feeling' in our classrooms, hallways and playgrounds - students have really stepped up to the idea of Shared responsibility in building a great community. Students had grade-specific assemblies this week and a full school assembly on Friday.
Urgent action required: Families would have received 3 different emails to sign up for electives for each term. All three emails need to be addressed to secure your child's choices for each term by September 7th. Students who do not submit three forms will be placed into electives with smaller rosters.

Camp Connect Family Day Sign up and Information
Connect Families it’s time for our Second (and now annual) Camp Connect Family Day!! This is an amazing opportunity to come out and visit our Camp Connect. If you have new to Connect or have been a Connect family for a while this is an opportunity to come visit the camp and SEE-WATCH-TRY many of the things that your children get to do when they are out at camp!
What to expect:
1. We will have buses running from Connect School to shuttle people to and from Camp. Please register for seats on the bus as there is EXTREMELY limited parking out at camp. There will be 3 buses. If you leave on Bus A you must return on Bus A etc.
2. Parking at Camp – there is a Kananaskis Park parking lot right outside of our camp that you can park at and walk in. Please note that this parking is extremely limited and you MUST have a Kananakis Park Pass (or you may be subject to parking ticket). You cannot park on the road leading up to the camp, you can ONLY park in the parking lot itself.
3. We will have activities going all day long – some of those activities you will have to sign up for. The signup will go out to those registered to attend next week (Wednesday or Thursday) so please watch for the Activity Signup.
4. School council provides a simple but FREE lunch while out at camp that includes an all beef hotdog or veggi hotdog, chips, treat and lemonade. You are also always welcome to bring your own picnic lunch.
5. We do require a few volunteers for this event so please take a look at those opportunity and sign up if you choose.
