This Week's Highlights

Connect Charter School's outbreak status for respiratory illness remains and continues to be monitored by Alberta Health Services. Our absenteeism due to illness rate this past week ranged between 15% and 12%. A letter to families from Alberta Health Services related to influenza is found below.
A reminder to let the front office and homeroom teacher know if your child will be away.
A reminder to save the date for student-led conferences on December 8th (evening) and 9th (morning). Conference manager will open on December 5th at 4:00 p.m.
With a drop in temperatures forecasted for the upcoming week, a reminder for families to plan for the cold.

Polar Bear club will begin next week for those whose parents have signed the permission form through PowerSchool. Our Polar Bear club cut-off is -25 degrees, whereas the regular cut-off is -20 degrees.

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair starts on December 7th and runs until December 9th. It is a great fundraiser for our library and a wonderful chance to encourage students to keep reading.

On December 8th and 9th the Scholastic Book Fair will take place in the library during Parent Teacher Conferences. We are looking for volunteers to support the library during the Book Fair.

Flyers are available at school in the learning commons and in the school office.
