School Council Communications for  Weekly Principal Update

Week Ending:  Apr 24, 2026

WELCOME TO OUR NEW & RETURNING EXECUTIVE SCHOOL COUNCIL MEMBERS!

We extend a warm and excited welcome to our School Council Executive team for 2026-27.  The team is already transitioning and taking on their new roles.

  • School Council Chair:  Laura S.
  • Vice Chair: Angela M.
  • Treasurer: Melissa M.
  • Secretary: Stefanie H.
  • Past Chair: Sandra R.
  • Past Treasurer: Tricia G.

Have some time and want to get involved?  We are looking for people to led or be a part of our committees (fundraising; staff appreciation; school BBQs and more).

Please reach out if you would like to be part of these organizing committees! You’ll never be left on your own and it’s a great way to get involved AND meet other parents!!

Save the Date!

The next school council meeting will be happening the morning of June 5 at Connect Charter School in the Learning Commons.  It will take place right after the parent coffee morning (approx. 9:15am start).

If you don’t know about parent coffee or haven’t been to one, you should know that it is one of the best ways to have a candid conversation about a range of topics with our Principal and Assistant Principals!!  Highly Recommended!

Thank you to YOU!

We want to say thank you to all the families and supporters of our spring fundraisers.  We raised approximately $5,200 that will go back into the school in various ways to benefit our students!  Fantastic!

Question Corner

From time to time we see similar questions from many parents … here are two that have popped up recently!

  1.  Will School Council be holding a Spring Plant Fundraiser?

Unfortunately, no.  We did not have a volunteer to lead this for us.  Maybe next year!

  1. Will School Council be collecting funds and coordinating end-of-year bus driver gifts again?

Yes we will!  Stay tuned in early June for more info on this!
