We were excited to greet our students as they returned to classrooms this past Monday.
We had a wonderful turn out for Connect Charter's Open House on Thursday, January 13. Our student representatives and staff did a great job welcoming our visitors and being ambassadors for our school.
Connect Charter has reduced our garbage pick up from weekly to once every three weeks as a result of our updated composting initiatives.
Judy Riege lead staff professional learning for our staff on Friday. The topic was about fostering environments of belonging and connection.
Since returning from winter break, there has been an increase in the number of students arriving late to school. Being on time for our morning announcements and morning routine help students to be informed and prepared for a day of learning.
Students were unable to engage in our scheduled skating because of the cold weather before the break. This upcoming week, students in grades 4-9 will be skating and require a helmet and skates. Grade 7, 8, and 9 students will skate on either Monday or Wednesday. Grade 4, 5, and 6 students will skate on either Tuesday or Thursday.
Connect Charter School is accepting used skates in good condition. Students can bring them to the front office.
Our Winter Concert that was originally scheduled for January 26th will take place on March 2nd. This will be a Performing Visual Arts showcase that will feature music, art and arts electives. More information will be provided in February.
