This Week's Highlights

A reminder that there is no school on November 17th as it is an organizational day.
Grade 6 students and Grade 9 students will take part in our Thrive Days next week.
Monday, November 13th: 6.1 and 6. 2
Tuesday, November 14th: 9.3 and 9.4
Wednesday, November 15th 6.3 and 6.4
Thursday, November 16th, 9.1 and 9.2
We thank those who helped us reflect on the theme of Peace on Remembrance Day, including our grade 4/5 drama elective students, our grade 5 singers, our staff, our guests speakers and guest trumpet player.
One Tuesday, November 14th, our grade 4/5 Urban Expedition students will be heading out for their overnight field experience. Families will have received information via email.
Thank you to both of our volleyball teams and coaches for representing our school well throughout the volleyball season, and a huge congratulations to the Sr. Girls Volleyball team for their first place finish at yesterday's final tournament of the season.
Many of our student-led clubs are up and running and we encourage students to get involved. Students can find posters in the hallways and review the information on the televisions for information.

Delivery: Cards will go home with students on Nov. 30 (if you wish to pick up from the office, please add a note to your order form).

MOVIE NIGHT & PARENT PROGRAM: Nov 30

“Parenting Through the Messiness of Family Life”

Join us for an opportunity to connect with other Connect Parents through this engaging discussion lead by Parenting Mentor, Julie Freedman Smith.

We hear all the time that our kids need to use resilience, but how can they bounce back into shape when things get tough if they weren’t in strong mental shape to begin with? Life might feel messy but with focus, we can support our kids in developing emotional and mental strength, finding courage, and building independence.

This session will provide an opportunity for group discussions, open Q&A, and tips for you to get clear on how to help your child through the messy emotional times while they gradually build courage and strength to take on new challenges.

Thursday, Nov 30: 5:15pm (dinner), 6:15pm (movie & program begins)
Students have been voting on their choice of movies and we’ll announce the film next week!
Dinner & Snacks can be preordered (limited cash sales for snacks will be offered) in advance. Online sales will be open soon!
