March 13 – March 17 – Connect Charter School

Connect Charter Family Weekly Update

March 13 - March 17

This Week's Highlights

Good times at our teacher vs. student volleyball and basketball event.

PURDY’S CHOCOLATES

Thanks for ordering to help support school fundraising! As long as your child isn’t expecting the Easter Bunny, we’ll send packages home with students before the break. Otherwise you may pick up chocolates from the office on March 23 or 24, during school conferences.

MOVIE NIGHT – DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS….

Thursday April 20

The evening will kick off around 5:30pm with dinner, which will be pre-ordered in advance (Little Caesar’s) or BYO. Drinks, popcorn and chips will be for sale but the movie and parent education seminar are FREE, starting around 6:15pm. We expect to wrap up by 8:30pm, making this an easy weeknight commitment.

Students will be voting on the choice of movie during their Creative Tech classes next week (March 13-17). Below are the movies on offer – check out the trailers if you like!

~ The Bad Guys: Watch trailer

~ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: Watch trailer

~ Jungle Cruise: Watch trailer

~ Puss in Boots 2 – The Last Wish: Watch trailer

Parents – regardless of whether your student is attending the movie – are invited to a special program and conversation with Julie Freeman Smith. We’ll talk about parenting in a post-pandemic world and pick up new ideas and tools to help with current challenges we may be facing. Julie was a Connect Charter parent so she “gets us”. We’re thrilled to welcome her back in the school.

We’ll start to collect RSVPs and dinner orders just before Spring Break. Don’t miss it!
