| How long have you been working at Connect Charter School? In a variety of roles 16 years but 11 as a full time teacher. What is your favourite unit to teach? Having students create their own poetry anthologies What is your educational/professional background? BEd What brought you to Connect? I started subbing when my son came here in grade 6. What do you consider the best part of working at our school? Our exceptional program. Tell us a bit about your family. Mother of 3 awesome kids, Rodney (married to Tracy), Robert and Elizabeth. What do you like to do when you’re not at school? Relax, go to movies and musicals, shop and did I say, relax. What is your most recent rewarding moment as a staff member at Connect? Being part of the Partners in Place art installations! Bonus questions: Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know about you? I am a native born and raised Calgarian. Do you have a fun story from one of your field trips? Taking my students to Waterton Park, which is a place that is dear to my heart, was a special trip. The principal and I had to drive into town because the camp was out of toilet paper! What movie genre would you want to have a starring role in? Musical |
