Please visit connectcharter.ca/calendar/ to ensure you are fully informed of upcoming activities, field experiences, fun lunches, assemblies, and many more events.

Accountability Pillar Surveys

Alberta Education is mailing out surveys to all parents over the next week. These survey results are important to the school administration as a feedback mechanism and for future planning. You will have the choice of completing a paper version of the survey or accessing it on line.

Kudos to our Connect students for demonstrating such awesome behaviour during a week of extreme cold and indoor recesses. Despite the challenging conditions our students were respectful of each other, the staff, and the school itself. Next week the temperatures should be almost spring-like and we will be requiring students to head outside for morning and lunch recess.

School Council Meeting – January 21st

Please note that there will NOT be a Parent Society meeting on Jan. 21st. The regular meeting of the Connect Charter School Council will take place on Tuesday January 21st at 7pm in the Learning Commons. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting.

Grade 6 winter camp starts this week, with 6.1 heading out Monday morning, and 6.2 on Wednesday. Please see the calendar for further details.

Extended Family Day weekend

A reminder that the school will be closed on February 12, 13, and 14 for our staff retreat to focus on the development of a new report card and further refine our approaches to inclusive education. The school will also be closed on February 17 for Family Day.

Have a great week everyone,

Phil Butterfield
