The School Council provides invaluable input to school administration and supports the school’s programs through active volunteerism.
A school simply cannot be successful without highly invested and engaged parents. At Connect we have a very active and committed group of parents. Parents are integral to our outdoor education program and are encouraged to volunteer in the classrooms. The school has made the commitment that parents will be actively engaged in meaningful tasks when they generously volunteer their time. Click here to go to our volunteers page.
The school council’s primary purpose is to foster the well-being and effectiveness of the Connect Charter School community, so as to enhance student learning. The school council meets monthly to conduct the business of the council and to provide a forum for all parents to be engaged. Council meetings regularly feature guest speakers from the student body, teaching staff and school administration. Council meetings provide an opportunity for parents to advise school administration on the operation of the school.
